Second Midwest Ag Breakfast a Big Success
Bonita Springs, FL - It was sunny and warm in southwest Florida on January 15th when 35 Midwestern farmers and other agriculturalists (men and women) met for breakfast. The occasion was the "Second Annual Midwest Ag Breakfast" held at Perkins restaurant in Bonita Springs.
Chairman, Steve Lake and "helpers" Leonard Johnson and Bob Jackson helped organize the breakfast.
The highly unstructured agenda included a delicious breakfast followed by an hour or better of conversation and visiting. Those in attendance included people who winter for several months in Florida as well as those who go south for just a week or two.
It was a great opportunity to chat about a variety of topics including the new farm program, current market prices, the terrorists, and , of course, yesterday's golf score.
Next year's breakfast is already planned. It will be January 21, 2003. The location is not set yet, but will be announced well in advance. The Bonita Springs area is a good location as it is an easy destination from north, south, east, and west in the southern part of Florida.
