Press release - 1/16/01, Bonita Springs, FL - A group of
Illinois Agriculturalists met in South West Florida for the first ever Midwest
Ag Breakfast. A wide array of Agriculture interests were
represented at the Breakfast. Among those attending were Steve Lake, Carla
Hill, Bob Brooks, Dave Meyer, Ed Arndt, Noel Arndt, Keith Jordal and Bob Jackson.
The group had informal discussions on a wide variety of ag topics as well as
golf performances and of course some highly objective comments on the elite
American media.
The group completed their inaugural get-together by proclaiming the third
Tuesday of January as an annual Midwest Ag Breakfast Day. Steve Lake was
unanimously elected to chair the group for the next year.
